Bridal Shower Word Scramble
Print a bridal shower word scramble game with an answer key, using wedding words or the couple's own words.

How to make a bridal shower word scramble
- Choose your words. Under Topic list, select Bridal Shower, Wedding or Love Words. To use all three lists at once, choose Mix of these. To use your own words, open My words and type them in the Your words box, one per line or separated by commas.
- Set Number of words from 5 to 40. The page starts with 15.
- If you chose a topic list, set Difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard or Any length). Use Letters per word if you want every word to have the same length.
- Pick Mixing. Choose Keep first and last letter for an easier game.
- Pick a Hint option, such as First letter.
- Set the print settings: Worksheet title, Paper size, Columns, Font size and Copies (1 to 30).
- Keep Include an answer key page on, then select Print / Save PDF. In the browser’s print dialog, choose Save as PDF to keep a file.
Use New puzzle for a fresh scramble with the same settings. Print answer key only prints just the answers. Copy link saves every setting and the puzzle number, so the same puzzle reopens later. To play online instead, type into the letter tiles and press Enter or Check. The timer starts at your first action.
How do you play the bridal shower word scramble game?
Print one copy per guest, set a timer (5 minutes works well) and give everyone a pencil. Guests unscramble as many words as they can before the time is up. The guest with the most correct words wins. Check the answers together from the answer key page before you announce the winner.
Bridal word scramble answers: where do you find them?
The answers are on the answer key page, which lists each scrambled word with its answer when Include an answer key page is on. Online, Show answer reveals one word, Reveal all shows the whole puzzle, and Check all checks every entry. Answers are not limited to one spelling: if a guest types a different real word made of exactly the same letters, it counts as correct, and the message names the list word. This applies to 406 of the 2,135 single-word list entries.
Can I use the couple’s names and details in a bridal word scramble?
Yes. Type the names, the wedding town, the honeymoon place or the pet’s name into the Your words box under My words. Phrases work, and each word in a phrase is scrambled separately while the spaces stay, so “maid of honor” keeps its spaces. Only letters, spaces, hyphens and apostrophes are allowed, and each entry can be up to 30 characters. Any entry that cannot be used is listed with the reason.
How many copies do I need: one per guest?
One copy per guest is the simplest plan. Set Copies to the number of guests, up to 30. Each copy has the same words in a different order with different scrambles, labelled Version 1, Version 2 and so on, so guests sitting together do not have identical sheets. For more than 30 guests, print the set a second time.
Wedding word scramble for a reception table: how do you set it up?
Use a short puzzle that guests can finish between courses. Choose the Wedding list, set Number of words to 5 to 8, and select Difficulty Easy. Set Font size to Large and Columns to 1 so the sheet is easy to read from a seat. Print one copy per table, and turn on Word bank if you want the answers in mixed order under the puzzle for guests who get stuck.
Frequently asked questions
Can I sell the bridal shower word scrambles I make here, for example on Etsy?
Yes. The bridal shower word scrambles you make here are royalty-free for personal, classroom and commercial use, including KDP books, Etsy printables, Teachers Pay Teachers and print-on-demand products. No credit is required, and the only thing you may not do is copy the generator or the site itself to run a competing service. See the terms for details.
Does the bridal word scramble work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. The online puzzle works on phones and tablets, and printing works from any browser. Solving on a small screen uses the same letter tiles and answer boxes as on a computer.
What happens if a word I type is rejected?
Each entry that cannot be used is listed with its reason. The reasons include too long, other characters, fewer than 2 letters, already in the list, over 200 entries, and cannot be scrambled into a different order. Fix the entry and it will be included.
Can a scramble spell another real word?
No. The scrambled letters are always different from the word, and a scramble is never another real English word made of the same letters. For words of 4 or more letters, at most half of the letters stay in their original place when possible, so the puzzle is hard to solve by guessing.
